The dangers of algorithms - programmed information aggregation all to manipulate people for reasons that have nothing to do with any altruistic purpose.
This piece struck a chord with me. When I was pregnant the Instagram algorithm served me an intense number of stories on miscarriage, children disabled by traumatic births and mothers and children dying of cancer.
