Take a hugely disappointing Labour leadership, a chaotic left-wing grouping that can't decide if it is actually a party or not, and contrast all that with some inspiring messages from a newly elected Green Party leader - no wonder we're growing at an unprecedented rate!

The Left Wing are minor and unpopular because they are almost never on Question Time and the BBC almost never mentions them.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.
