100% that negotiations go on between ALP and mining companies. People seem to struggle understanding that ALP are a UNION organisation. They stand first and foremost for people. So they are never going to scrap a stack of jobs for the sake of a tree. Tree might be on their agenda but down the list.

I'm thinking this is a very smart tactic from ALP actually. Go cap in hand to Greens and you get Max B-S crap, as seen previously. This way they can play off one side on the other.

Folks - any critical mineral industry in Australia is not going to be like iron ore, or coal, or gold. They're low margin, normal-profit-on-a-good-day industries. They just happen to be important. There's no royalty boom available here. That is not the economics nor the value proposition.

I'm with you. I've long got fed up to the back teeth with that kind of thing. It's cheap clickbait. Certainly not even close to anything like worthwhile analysis.

I've nothing against criticising this or any other government for their faults or poor decisions. But that kind of stuff doesn't cut it.

Send him out my way. We can chuck him in the huge ash dam which contains the waste crap left over from burning coal in the power station. There's so much of the stuff that the NSW govt closed down a very popular sports recreation organisation for fear of the dam busting and burying the place.
