How am I supposed to come out of survival mode when I'm constantly stressed about being evicted, can't afford food, have to worry about my social worker updating my file so I don't get punished for their mistakes? I can't remember the last time I felt safe and secure.

When you say only the “genuinely disabled” should receive support, you’re aiding fascism.

When you say people are scamming the system, you’re aiding fascism.

Many disabilities are invisible and it’s hard to get support.

People aren’t scamming. That’s “useless eater” rhetoric designed to divide.

Disabled people are more likely to be victims of financial abuse.

And the Universal Credit system makes that even more likely by not allowing them to have money if they live with a partner who earns/has some savings.

It's a horrifically abusive system.

Six years ago today I adopted my sweet Sora. From a skinny boy with cut whiskers, fleas, and parasites, to a healthy, soft and handsome sweet gentleman with long beautiful whiskers. I'm so glad the universe sent you to me!🥰

You should care because it's the right thing to do, for other humans who deserve life, love, and support.

I worked until I couldn't work anymore. For 20 years I went to work and endured workplace abuse and then went home and endured domestic abuse. The last place I worked I was let go because I was still trying to work while having a mental breakdown. I have 40 years of abuse trauma to deal with.

Except most peoples disabilities do define them😒. Everything I do I have to think "Will I be able to cope? What if I have a melt down or get overwhelmed? What if I have pain flare up?"

I was trying not to cry in therapy about missing Roxis and Sora got down from his perch and went to sleep in Roxis's bed. He hasn't done this is many weeks. I love how he nestles in to Roxis's things. We are all we have left.
