One key challenge I see to our ability to become more productive is the lack of useful change management across the uk. Investment or innovation is useless without understanding how change works.

For too long we’ve relied on outsourcing change to consultants without developing internal capability

Why are the vibes so off with this government. The whole culture at the moment is about moderation and harm reduction, especially among the young and middle aged voters that Labour needs to cling on to if it's going to retain a coalition of support.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

It is a big bubble and it poses massive risk but the one mitigation that hasn't applied to other bubbles is that it's largely being underwritten by the enormous cash reserves of companies that have too much money and no real idea of what to do with it.
