Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.

Breaking on MSNBC:

Two federal prosecutors have been placed on leave at the direction of the White House after filing a sentencing memo seeking 27 months in prison for a pardoned Jan. 6 rioter who brought illegal guns and ammunition to President Obama's house in 2023.

Sen. Paul is right. These are murders.
Rand Paul on Trump's strikes on boats: "I would call them extrajudicial killings. This is akin to what China does, what Iran does with drug dealers -- they summarily execute people without presenting evidence to the public. So it's wrong."

I could not be prouder that my law firm is currently litigating 60 voting, election and redistricting cases in 30 states. Even as large law firms bow down, we continue to fight for democracy every single day.
I’m only posting this as a reminder that public corruption must now be run through the states, since the pardon power does not apply to state courts.

I didn’t plan to break news. I just looked out the window.

I was flying out of DCA and saw the East Wing being demolished. I took a photo, posted it, and by the time I landed, it was on CNN.

It's wild how fast one moment can move — and how something so ordinary can make the world pay attention.

What a last-minute upgrade and a quick instinct taught me about transparency, timing, and the power of noticing.

All of us need to pay attention when corruption is running rampant. You did the work of Congress; thanks.
As a former NYCer, I am saddened by the terrible options that NYCers face: a corrupt former governor, a right wing quack, and a far left assemblyman. Ugh.

Over the past week, the president said the DOJ should pay him a quarter billion dollars, bulldozed half the White House to build himself a gaudy ballroom, bragged about murdering civilians in international waters, pardoned some more criminals, directed federal prosecutors to indict his opponents ...

Because the customers want their products/services more than they want the White House or dislike Trump, and paying off Trump is good business in a country that increasingly tolerates, and even encourages, corruption. Next question?

Will this garish monstrosity to Trump’s corruption be used by the next occupant? We should already be planning its demolition, because it will be a monument to greed, self-dealing, corruption, and excess.

Trump demanding $230 million from the DOJ, that he controls, is a shakedown of the American taxpayers so that Trump can line his own pockets.

“There’s a government shutdown happening right now across the street, and on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, they’re tearing down the East Wing.”

In this northern Idaho bar, three portraits sit above the mantle: KKK grand wizard Nathan Bedford Forrest, Turner Diaries author William Luther Pierce, and Charlie Kirk. But this week, they’re adding a fourth: Qatari emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The media needs to move on from College Republicans repeatedly praising Hitler and genocide in their private messages. Here's why no one should vote for Democrats on account of leftists saying "defund the police" five years ago.

Liberals say that Trump has turned our democracy into a fascist dictatorship. They're wrong—he's turned our republic into a fascist dictatorship.
