Cody Balmer of Penbrook admitted to throwing two molotov cocktails at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg while Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside. Balmer was sentenced Balmer to 25-50 years in prison and ordered him to pay $100,000 in restitution after Balmer pleaded guilty.

General Antonio Maceo (b. June 14, 1845) championed Cuban independence & led Cuba's patriot army in the late 19th century. Brilliant & brave, son of an Afro-Venezuelan father & an Afro-Cuban mother, both whom served in the independence wars, Maceo is a national hero & founding father of Cuba.

This is why presidential and congressional elections are so important. The GOP elected majority supreme Court got rid of the protections we were afforded under the Voting Rights Act. Then Republicans stifled the John Lewis Voting Rights Act which would have corrected that wrong...now we have this!🙄

From my understanding The Pay Our Troops Act of 2026 (that Mike Johnson referenced) is pending because Mike Johnson doesn't want this to be a standalone bill but is instead using it as leverage to pass their terrible package to keep the government open. Has anyone read anything different?
