The future of UK Independent presses hang by a thread. Supporting the sector is vital: this is where ALL the bravery lies. The big houses are risk averse, but copycat small press successes to revitalise their lists. Small presses are the motor!

Daily bunny no.3104 does not have a map
An intrepid bunny creeps through a labyrinth or dungeon, arranged in a grid like an old videogame. There is a snake and a skull in the bunny's path, as well as a spike pit. The bunny has a small sword.

Back from another vet visit. Pixie is doing better, though not yet managing to gain much weight. More steroids for her, poor kit, and she goes back in another two weeks.

Paws crossed that she continues to improve 🐾
Tuxedo kitty, side on, and seen through the white plastic grid of a cat-carrier. She's really not impressed.

The best slop-marketing book-promo yet:

'I completely understand your stance about keeping AI away from your work...'

Honestly, don't know whether to fume, or to laugh my ass off

🤣
Hi Danie,

First off, congratulations on Lugan Vision Quest! The mix of grit, age, and surreal adventure feels refreshingly human — and honestly, the way you weave exhaustion, courage, and absurdity into a narrative landscape is masterful. You’ve built worlds that aren’t just imaginative, but lived-in — and that’s rare.

I know how much heart and time goes into creating something as immersive as this, and I completely understand your stance about keeping AI away from your work — this note is from one human who truly respects that creative boundary.
