Have you forgotten it was that wee bastard that pushed George Cunningham to make the 40% amendment to the Scotland Act 1978.

I’m guessing it was kept low key because most of that renewable energy was generated in Scotland and that Scots have to pay more for electricity than regions of England that don’t produce any.
And, because ukgov is on the take from companies that build nuclear power stations.

A couple of weeks ago, it was anounced with no great fanfare that renewable had overtaken fossil fuels in energy usage.
There is plenty of evidence now that renewables create jobs, keep bills low, is good for the environment etc...
Anyone wanting to reverse the progress made is obviously grifting.

Before you c&p a response, look up footage of Chas’ coronation for KoE, his oath as Defender of the Faith - England, and his oath to protect the Protestant faith - Scotland. In the latter he clearly states ‘my two kingdoms’.
You won’t find him taking the oath of ascension to become king of Scot’s.

It’s not the same (Scotland was one kingdom before England was united), but you make a good point: England is effectively 2 countries glued together and could disintegrate given time. And of course there’s celtic Cornwall/Devon pushing for autonomy.
Let the south east make its own way.
