This goofball may look brave and majestic, but in truth he was too concerned about the noise to get any closer to the waterfall (we had to find him a puddle to drink from)

The Great Tower of Warkworth Castle, Northumberland. The great tower stands on top of the motte, was commissioned by Henry Percy after he was made 1st Earl of Northumberland in 1377. It is in the shape of a Greek cross, with four polygonal wings radiating from a central block.

WIP automaton - A pilot's study 🕯️

Probably the project I miss working on the most! Will hopefully be able to make some progress this weekend, as I've finally managed to clear enough space after moving house to set up a humble workshop again :)

An unfinished diorama / automaton crafted from wood, paper mache, clay, felting wool, and other miscellaneous materials, painted with acrylics. We knew it was a fixer-upper so it'll be fine, even though there's a lot more to sort out than anticipated!

We are so fond of the location and this was the only place here in our price range, so in a weird way I'm glad we didn't know everything. I love waking up and seeing the mist on the hills.

Whew! Unplanned social media hiatus keeps getting extended - long story short we bought a home which then turned out to be a bit of a disaster, so for the past few months I've been learning to DIY everything I can with the workshop taking the backseat. I guess a house is basically a big sculpture..?

And on the househunting front, it's starting to look pretty likely that in a few months we will be able to move to a lil riverside village in Scotland! 🥳

(It's where my husband and I got married a few years back, so we have very fond memories of the area :))
