Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day is an act of resistance
Speaking of stupid shit…

I often buy the most beautiful journals only to not write in them because they are too beautiful and I don’t want to ruin them.

🤡
It's decaying meme season. How could I forget??
It’s okay to move on and to let go. I don’t think we do that enough.
What’s the word for when you write someone off and you’ve moved on and you can’t bring yourself to care about them anymore? Like, they don’t even upset you… they simply don’t exist. There’s got to be a specific word for that.
Everything has an expiration date. Patience, time, forgiveness, and you.
Trees will not judge you. They will help you to heal. Go out there and spend some time with them.
For instance, I do not want my photo taken when I’m in the circle, reflecting on my family’s trauma with other survivors of intergenerational trauma. That shit’s just not okay. And neither is swarming dancers’ areas and being in the way. Hard to put regalia on with little to no space!
Don’t get me wrong… allyship is wonderful and it’s needed. Education is also desperately needed and it’s wonderful that there are people who genuinely want to learn… but at some point, it takes away from the healing process that our communities so desperately need.
Truth & Reconciliation… Everything felt off. It didn’t feel like ceremony anymore. It felt like we were there to entertain people at this year’s Powwow. (They even applauded in some inappropriate places.) We were also greatly outnumbered. We need a middle ground… We should have safe spaces to heal.
Lobotomy. That’s what some people require in order to decolonize their mindsets.

I wish I was joking.
“We apologize for the distress the comments on this post caused. We have turned off comments and deleted the existing ones.”

That’s a start.
I get it, you hate me and you hate my relatives and ancestors. You don’t need to keep on proving it in the comments on every single post made by Indigenous people/allies. It’s been obvious for hundreds of years now 😡

Sorry bout this rant I’m just super extra bitchy
For The National Day For Truth and Reconciliation organizations need to turn their comments off fk

Because all the hatred and racism in the world is in those comments. I’m so damn tired
