It's weird bc if they had stopped to actually do the drg ARR quests they would have realized how faceted Estinien was from the get go and how receptive he IS actually to change and to changing his world views, even if it's hard for him to come around to it at first.

Jokes on them now I guess I play drg in savage and it's genuinely a lot of fun. I avoided melee for the longest time bc of them and just kind of stuck to ranged / healer and then fell in love with melee in edw (I've been playing since last patch of hvw)

I think xiv vets Mean Well however sometimes they do kind of shitty things to sprouts, like tell them "no you can just skip the 100 quests to get to hvw" or even try to discourage you from playing certain jobs bc they think they're too hard for you (I had a then friend tell me to Not pick up drg)

most of ARR I tried to skip through bc everyone at the time was like no it's okay skip through it to get to hvw, and that coupled with the pressure to catch up to friends at the time who were Ahead of me meant I didn't take the time to read
