@scalzi.com “Petty criminals” ! F*ck those guys! I hope those “petty criminals” melt those Crown Jewels down and live life large for the rest of their days. People with “Crown Jewels” never did a damn thing for anyone! Maybe these guys will at least boost the local economy somewhere.

Apparently, if you aren’t exhausted after physical therapy, you aren’t doing it right. My therapists are wonderful people. They tell me I *am* doing it right and —ta-da! — I am worn out and want a nap. This is what is called “scientific proof”. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

So my PT nurse walks in just when I’m fighting back tears & I have to explain that no, I’m not in pain - I’m just feeling a little guilty & feeling sorry for myself & was triggered by a new story by one my favorite authors & explaining just makes me cry more…

Gail, UNBREAKABLE #1 made me cry today. It’s been months in hospitals & nursing homes. I long to go to my Barbara, my cats, my home. The world is in such pain. Gambit has lost so much more, & he still holds on, unbreakable when we can’t be. Thank you for bringing this story when we all need it.

Been flat on my back (miserable) for a week+. Hope to get more comfortable up in a recliner tomorrow & back on walker for PT starting Monday. Barbara’s been a trouper but she needs a break. I just want to get well enough to go home at a level I’m not a burden for her. Being old sucks. /4

Took a week before cardiologist decided to send me back to nursing home while new meds do their thing. Second stint & cardioversion postponed a few weeks. Can return to some PT/OT in a day or two.So goodbye 🏥, hello Parkview again this afternoon. /2

It’s been a journey- again.
Nasty Foley cath pain from bad UTI sent me back to hospital. Heart rate & pressure started rising, requiring hearth cath. Surprise, two big blockages! One cleared with stint, but unable to fix second until heart rate/pressure stabilize with meds. /thread 1
