boy to a bunch of other kids: "listen up everyone! any of you got a good idea on how to get tama back home?" one kid: "I've got it! we can get a big, big kite and ride it all the way up to heaven." everyone starts cheering, tossing him up in the air: "hip hop hooray!" then, they all run off as the boy crashes to the ground: "let's go make one right now!"

man: "you can't go around telling silly stories like that just to laugh at people! go outside and cool your heads! thought I'd have a heart attack!" brother: "but it's true... man jumps at the sound of splashing water, runs outside and yells at tama and boy, who have their heads in a puddle: "It was just an expression!" the two get up but because it's so cool out, the water has frozen on top of both of their heads

Miki Nakatani in Keizoku is such a powerhouse performance because it's like as attractive as anyone's ever been but also I've never been more sure someone smells like mothballs and mold in my life

Finished Tsui no Sora '99 last night and have been mulling it over all day. Fairly short (all 4 routes together took me about 10 ish hours) but packed to the brim with ideas. Filled with that perfect youthful philosophical angst that really gets me excited to think and delve deeper.

Rewrite!! Big recommend from me -- a 2025 time loop movie with a script by the time loop king River/Beyond Infinite Two Minutes writer...that's also an overt Obayashi homage!

Super reflective and thoughtful and generous, totally love it
