Pittsburgh sports talk is brutal man. The Steelers are 4-1 (with a division game tomorrow), Pitt just beat FSU and looks great, and Penguins season just started…..and the #1 topic of the week is a nonsense stadium idea.
Completely agree. That slight hill would’ve provided the perfect view and the Cathedral Lawn would’ve been awesome tailgating space. I still think that COULD work but probably way too much to buy & demolish.
Mannnn imagine a stadium right there. But yeah being pinched by Schenley/Frick Fine Arts on one side means they’d have to dig into South Oakland and that seems difficult.
Yeah I thought when I was a student that would be a solid spot. Not exactly on campus, but at least it’s Oakland. But now it’s all built up with hotels and startups anyway.
I can’t tell if he’s completely lost his way or if he knows he’s spewing bullshit for ratings
Can’t get excited about 2026 recruiting when if this season doesn’t go well, they’ll all de-commit anyway
Did you take video of them performing Rush??
Yeah I do love the fort in there. Plus they were the logos when I was a student so I’m biased. I do think simple + basketball are the two priorities
Yeah I think they try Cignetti first but Matt Rhule would be a solid 2nd choice. And Manny Diaz the 3rd option.

Matt Campbell, Fran Brown, Lance Leipold, Dan Mullen are unlikely but possible.
I'm gonna guess PSU knows they have Matt Rhule in the bag. I don't know if they'll hire him, but he's their floor
My CFB ballot:

1. Ohio St
2. Indiana
3. Miami
4. A&M
5. TTU
6. Ole Miss
7. Bama
8. Oregon
9. Georgia
10. Oklahoma
11. LSU
12. GT
13. Tennessee
14. Mizzou
15. Vandy
16. BYU
17. Memphis
18. Notre Dame
19. USF
20. Virginia
21. Utah
22. Texas
23. Washington
24. USC
25. Nebraska
Yeah if Indiana is willing to treat football like they do basketball, I don’t think he’ll leave unless Notre Dame or maybe Ohio State opens up.
I agree. Being at Indiana isn’t exactly like trying to stick it out at JMU. They should have all the resources to be in the same ballpark as Penn State’s offer.
It’s wrong for Penn State to fire James Franklin with just an 0-1 record.
Bill Belichick was most impressive in the north, James Franklin was most impressive in the south. This seems like an even trade.

Narduzzi could do the funniest thing ever and tweet out “let’s go 1-0 this week! Syracuse! Syracuse! Syracuse! #H2P!”
Pitt gets Cignetti, Penn State gets Narduzzi, and Indiana hires Shanahan. Who says no? (Everyone but Pitt)
$50 million AND he never has to step foot in State College again?? Dude hit the jackpot.
James Franklin's buyout will be around $50 million. His contract was fully guaranteed.

That will be the second-highest CFB buyout ever, behind the $77 million Texas A&M is paying Jimbo Fisher.
6th longest tenured in the P4. And he could move up to #4 if Clemson and NC State make a move after this year.
PAT NARDUZZI IS NOW THE TENTH LONGEST TENURED COACH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.
Mark Cuban better step up the money for Indiana, because if Penn State somehow lucks into getting Curt Cignetti, I’m going to become the Joker.
EVERYONE GET IN HERE
Per Pete Thamel, Penn State has fired James Franklin
I would’ve tried a 68-yarder over trusting that Jets pass offense
Why on earth did Aaron Glenn go for it there? What made him think his offense could get 8 yards? He’s toast after this season.
Pitt beats Florida State! #H2P
