Back after an almost 9 month hiatus. The end of 2024 was just... overwhelming, and by December, I just couldn't take the constant onslaught. Not that it's gotten better, but I missed interacting with fellow Trekkies, so here I am!
The Romulans stole the idea of a cloaking device from H G Wells.

Hi friends!

So I'm really burnt out and I've got some vital bills coming up very soon. I don't have much time to put out new models with my commission work, so I'm doing a sale!

More classic #Lego sets! This is the Mission Commander from the Space Police line of 1989. This one features a rear command section that detaches to form a base with two jail cells. The cockpit lifts up to eject a rover with the pilot.
When the Borg attack, who you gonna call?

I would have loved to have seen more of the kit bashed ships from Best of Both Worlds, especially ones like the Cheyenne class. It looked like the perfect evolution from the Constellation class.
Whenever I hear Vonnegut, I think of the scene from Rodney Dangerfield's Back to School where he hires Vonnegut to write his paper. He fails, and his teacher says whoever wrote the paper doesn't know anything about Vonnegut 🤣
It’s a very Star Wars design
My junior year English teacher was a big Vonnegut fan and had us read Slaughterhouse Five. I also read her copy of Sirens of Titan.

I saw this article, and completely disagreed with it. It is a Leto problem because of the combination of his creepiness and the fact that this is the movie he wanted to make. I really enjoyed Legacy as well as the cartoon.
The parts of his speech where he basically said "no femmes or fats" in the military sounds a lot like a lot of Grindr profiles.
I'm loving the Phlox movie marathon!
I figured out yesterday that this game reminds me of Sim Tower, where you have to build little shops and such. The elevators were always a pain because they could only go so high, and you could only have a certain number of them

My head canon is that they were using forced quantum singularities at least as early as the Bird of Prey in Balance of Terror. Scotty said they had only simple impulse, but I think he just assumed it was fusion when he didn't detect the signs of a Matter/Antimatter reactor
Let's not forget about China Beach Robert Picardo...
