A reminder that the brutal occupation of #WestPapua and the ongoing persecution of Indigenous Papuans is a horror that is largely undocumented & invisibilised. Like so much black suffering, furthest away in proximity to Whiteness, their revolution has NOT been televised.

It's a weird thing to be unsubscribing from gallery and arts mailing lists... it feels like a significant move in the reconfiguring of life outside/beyond the arts industrial complex. It's refreshing to rethink what is welcome in my consciousness, and what no longer deserves to be there.

Every other mediocre white man in positions of undeserved power in the colonial settler state of New Zealand?

If Luxon is rolled who will mediocre white people have to look up to?
As the meme goes “they’re the same thing”

2 mediocre white men in suits.

Four polls, same story.
@foxylustygrover.bsky.social ⬇️⬇️⬇️

The Government is sinking, but the real change won’t come from polls. It will come from people. From movement. From 2026.

The Māori vote is decisive. Enrol to vote.

Thinking about the variables of the last 18 months and remembering that the rise of fascism and the fall of America wasn't so much on the bingo card.

Tish James lit up the room last night — and her words echoed far beyond the walls of The United Palace. This is a fight for the future.

This is not just funny, it's smart. We need more of this mockery that shows these thugs that we see their despicable fascism and give them the respect that they deserve.

Heartbreaking: Neo-soul legends Angie Stone and D’Angelo both passed away in 2025, just 7 months apart. Stone died in March at 63. D’Angelo died today at 51. They shared a son together. An entire generation’s soundtrack, gone. Rest in power to both 🕊️💔

This week 21,000 teachers are taking part in a staggered strike before a full day national strike happens on October 23.

Cartoon. Title: “A Word From the Head Honcho” Image shows PM Christopher Luxon standing in front of a photo of striking teachers. He’s saying, “It’s shameful - shameful - the way teachers are playing politics with children” then he says, “That is my job”

"We have an economy where a handful of modern-day robber barons wield extraordinary power. They hold enormous control over our paychecks, our bills, our time, and our futures.

There’s a millennial ache in my body 💔 The smoothest, the iconic, the one and only D’Angelo 🤎 Thank you for the lessons, the love language, the audacity of the Untitled (How does it feel) video, that buttery brown moment of pure appreciation for everything you brought.

My first day without a womb was my first pain-free day in years & I’ve been living life to the fullest ever since 🥰 I buried her under a plant that she killed but tried again with lots of Pounamu, and a new plant grew eventually. I think of her all the time, she’s close by & we’re both happier ❤️‍🩹

When I posted a meme saying that we should support Tish James like we did Jimmy Kimmel, heaps of white people began attacking me. Not on Twitter, here on BlueSky. A whole bunch of guilt ridden, hit dogs came here to holler. The problem with America is that racism survives progressivism.
