Seeing Ms. Rachel say exactly what needs to be said to Obama is so damn refreshing

Dear President Obama,
I saw in your statement you said "Israeli families" & "the people of Gaza."
Palestinians have families, too.
This kind of language contributes to dehumanization. Dehumanization is part of what caused so many to stay silent as 20,000 children were killed in this genocide.
I've sat with wonderful Palestinian families from Gaza. They look at their children just like we look at ours - with all the love & hope in the world.

I believe Maria Steen and probably Gareth Sheridan would have gotten on the ballot had they started doing the work required in good time. I also feel they'd have polled relatively strongly. But they just felt entitled to the nomination. This is not a failure of democracy. It's a consequence of ego.

Simion got 41% in round 1 two weeks ago, so had strong shot today. turnout surged.

It's really hard to overstate how hugely favored conservatives were up until two months ago.

Here's the graph of Canadian polling between March 2023 and March 2025. (Reminder: blue is conservative.)

Those are months and months of 20+ point leads for Tories.
