So it's now 7 years since the vote to leave the EU. For a detailed account & analysis of what happened from the day after that, see my book, "Brexit Unfolded: How no one got what they wanted (and why they were never going to)" (2nd, updated, edition 2023): www.bitebackpublishing.com/books/brexit...

Extraordinary nonsense. The Trump administration's *stated aim* is to force production onshore.

This is the inevitable outcome of relentless anti-immigration political rhetoric and a media environment which disproportionately amplifies the voices of racists, giving the indication that they are the "voice of the public" rather than the minority they are.

Sure, that's it. After writing about Brexit for 10 years, ignoring God knows how many insults & death threats, I'm suddenly dumping on a low follower account because someone else made a joke about something I wrote. Or is is more likely I'm calling out the latest account of a stalking campaign?
chrisgrey.bsky.social
He's even commenting, behind the block, in support of this latest alias of his. It is really creepy and weird.
chrisgrey.bsky.social
Thanks you. Much appreciated.

GylesNaMopaleen, but it makes no difference
chrisgrey.bsky.social
In case anyone reading this is puzzled, this is about a concerted campaign of stalking and harassment I've been subjected to for months by someone using multiple accounts which, even when blocked and reported, continue to find ways to pursue me.
chrisgrey.bsky.social
I'll leave it for others to judge whether it's more likely that I, a reputable academic, who is open about my identity and has no record of engaging in stupid social media vendettas, is suddenly dumping on a pseudonymous account for 'disagreeing' with me, or whether I'm denouncing a creepy stalker.

Who is 'he'? Ah, yes, you mean 'you', under your constantly shifting aliases. And, no, it's not about disagreement, it's about the vile accusation of anti-Irish racism you've made against me & others like @jonhenley.bsky.social, & the vindictive campaign of harassment you've launched against me. 1/2
chrisgrey.bsky.social
I actually never had anything like this on that site.
chrisgrey.bsky.social
It stems from his accusation that I am an 'anti-Irish racist', and he has created maybe as many as 50 aliases, and even when I block them, they obsessively stalk every comment made here about my blog. I'm not the only target.
chrisgrey.bsky.social
Yes, but it makes no difference. I think there have now been about 50 alias accounts - and they all stem from an accusation that I am an 'anti-Irish racist'.
chrisgrey.bsky.social
Yes. It's been going on for months now.

Yet another of the GylesNaMopaleen alias accounts which have pursued a creepy stalking campaign against me. @nialloconghaile.bsky.social @jonhenley.bsky.social
chrisgrey.bsky.social
Yawn. Yet another Gyles alias. Don't you ever get fed up with stalking me?
chrisgrey.bsky.social
It's self-evidently nothing to do with Freeports. If it was, then there'd be no need for these proposals for changes to planning laws.

From Robert Jenrick's video - in which he did not see a single other white face on a brief trip to Birmingham, despite his video showing that he did.

a) this story isn't about rushing Brexit, it's about rushing post-Brexit trade deals b) the claim that Brexit itself was driven by an attempt to avoid EU tax avoidance is a myth that has been repeatedly debunked e.g. www.bbc.co.uk/news/50168357
Brexit: Claims about EU tax rules fact-checked
People keep claiming on social media that a tax avoidance deadline has been driving the Brexit agenda.
