Thrill Drive (1998)

Yep, this is certainly a game that inspired Burnout alright. It's a unique arcade driving game for its atmosphere alone, you crash your vehicle and he game starts scaring you for it, like Konami actively wants you to be careful driving in the real world.

Yup. That and they brought back Crash and Spyro because they had an internal "release at least one E rated game every year" which Skylanders fit the bill for quite some time but because that series lost its popularity, they had to make new Crash and Spyro games again for that rule.

N-Sane Trilogy and Reignited only exist because Sony owns the publishing rights to the original PS1 games (as well as their source codes) and Activision commissioned remakes of them as a work around. That says a lot.

I don't ever want to hear "oh but remakes aren't replacements you can still play the originals!" when this is how Capcom felt about the original RE games before it took serious convincing from GOG to bring them back.

Konami likely feels the same about SH2 and the audience doesn't care.

In my opinion, it's not that Tron was ever good (I like the first movie, the 2.0 game and Legacy) it's that it really shouldn't have been a franchise yet Disney insists on turning it as such despite the series just never being popular in the first place.

I was hyped for the game because I loved Skullgirls, so the idea that the team behind it was making a Metroidvania game was exciting for me. Then I played it, and it became the most disappointing game I've ever played.

Most "style over substance" game i have ever played. The game may look pretty and have a good soundtrack but the gameplay, story and pacing are so ass that it was a slog to play through.

No joke, it is the game you should play to learn what not to do when designing an RPG/Metroidvania
