Finally playing Silent Hill f

I feel like this is recency bias, but Contra: Rogue Corps feels like the only right answer for me. A miserable slog of a game that truly has no respect for a player's time.

A five part, 15 hour stream series with probably 20 cumulative hours worth of grinding I had to do between episodes.

"Oh, you want the map? It's not on ≡, you have to hit 🔲."

What are we even doing here.

I think when all is said and done, and the last generation of humanity is wondering where everything went wrong, I think they'll agree the point of no return was when we stopped using "Select" and "Start" on videogame controllers.

One piece of advice is that when you're in bunny hop mode, you can hit normal jump in mid-air to do a double jump. If there's a tutorial message to explain it, I either missed it or it comes too late.

So another demo I played recently is FUNKYHEART, and I really dig this game's vibes. Great soundtrack too.

It also describes itself as psychological horror, so I wanna see how that plays out.

For as much as I try to ignore them, I've noticed Google's AI results have been entering an "actually it's you who's wrong" phase of search result responses

So I think I figured out the first issue can be solved with UBlock Origin, but for the second one all I've found is people saying "turn off auto-capitalization for GBoard"

But like, I *want* auto-capitalization, just not for words that no one actually capitalizes.

Two tech issues I've been trying to solve:

- How to make webpages stop asking me to sign in with Google to make an account the moment I go there

- How to make my phone stop automatically capitalizing the word "internet;" no one has written it like that since 1997

My main piece of advice when you try it is that the PC in the bedroom lets you save. I don't think the demo has checkpoints.

It could use some polish, but I think there's a strong base there.

Played the Next Fest demo for Dead Format, and it's definitely on my radar now.

The use of FMV clips for the in-universe schlocky horror films is fun, and I like the concept of going into different B-movies and mixing elements across them.

She's a very spoiled dog because she has a Lamb Chop for almost every holiday, plus a bunch of hand-me-down toys.
