AAA video games should cost $100 on launch. this would still be extremely cheap for the amount of time and enjoyment you get out of them! But an audience of whiny babies has kept them literally at the same price for *two decades* despite both general inflation *and* sector-specific costs rising

The point of the big tent talk has always been to run cover for dudes like Seth Moulton. We should let the same types of shitty white dudes hold all positions of power forever. It’s the only way liberation politics will ever be palatable to the average American.

There’s no world in which we experience liberation while holding onto prejudice and hate. Tolerance is nurture, bigotry must not be nurtured. It’s good to insist on this. There is no victory without it.

A big tent shouldn’t mean selling out marginalized people for broad appeal to bigots and fools. If a popular movement that includes principled defense of all people is not possible we should give up now, because the social movement you’re describing is toothless and pointless.

Big tent is vague. Does the tent include members who don’t support human rights for targets of fascism? If so, why do they consider themselves antifascist? What is the value of that tepid antifascism?

Folks demanding political / ideological purity fail to see that this is no longer a movement belonging to the left / liberals. This is an opposition against fascism. By definition it must be big tent. Failure to grasp this: see divided oppositions in Eastern Europe as your failed examples.
