I basically did the same thing with my alt and then my son, yep. We did like 20 lucky trades in a row. But you've got to have somebody with a ton of old mons to make it work.

anyway i'm at 268.2m xp, about 7.8m short of my completely arbitrary and apparently totally unnecessary goal of "100m xp above the previous total needed," so that's fine i guess

..have to re-do the level 40-50 challenges that have now been moved to levels 70-80. There is as of yet no clear indication which way that's gonna fall but I hated doing those challenges & having those of us already at level 50 have to redo them would be really unfair.

Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

NGL, I'm salty about this. Uncharitably feeling a healthy dose of "WE did it and survived, YOU can do it" bc that difference is INSANE.

I simultaneously didn't really want to simply be able to blow through to 80th bc where's the challenge, and will be PISSED if those of us currently at level 50...

It appears I've wildly overestimated the amount of XP we'd need to get up to the new level 80. I knew they were rejiggering all the levels, but it took 176m total XP to get to 50th level previously. If I'm reading this right, it's now going to take *12.75m* to get to 50th, & 203.5m to get to 80th.
