Weakest in gameplay or weakest as a character in the story? Because while I can probably agree with the former I think he still has a place in the party for the narrative, and I like the dynamic he has with Barrett in Disc 2.

Following the massive Pokemon leaks I recall people constantly going "Things would be healthier if gaming was less secretive" and given the response I've seen from this and years of following Film Industry Twitter I can say that is 1000% incorrect.

I generally agree, I just hate that they felt it necessary to sacrifice his agency as a villain to do so.

Like I don’t think it’s actually that hard to write a story where Kylo gets his redemption after still being the final boss like he was being built up as.

I’m sorry I really try not to harp on about game pricing stuff but selling FF9 by itself for a whole $40 is wild when the whole Pixel Remaster saga is $60.

I love FF9 but I wouldn’t say it alone has the same value as the other two PS1 FFs together, or 2/3rds of the Pixel Remaster collection.

The two times the Tron movies were used in KH was to parallel how the programs in Space Paranoids/The Grid can exist and have Hearts like normal people with the Nobodies, which has long since been settled at this point. I honestly don’t see this subject coming up again anytime soon.

If there’s something you can ACTUALLY criticize about this current era it’s that game development has ballooned to a point where sequels take half a gen to make now compared to when we could see maybe 2-3 games of a series in one gen. This is like blaming the symptom without addressing the disease.

There’s a sector of people who expect video game sequels to be major innovations on the original’s formula in a way that completely transforms the game every single time, which is something the vast majority of games cannot reasonably do. That’s not a bad thing.
