The cover for JD Rivers' "The Wish of a Dragon", second book in the Otar's Universe trilogy. The main colors are purple, pink and dark blue. We have one of the main characters, Andres, facing the audience with his back, while we see the POV character Otar, only with his hand at Andres' neck, a bot of his blonde hair, and the other hand holding up a ball of flight behind Andres' back, holding a sleepong dragon. There are also more lights around it.
In the upper part it reads the title: The Wish of a Dragon, down below is the author: JD Rivers.
The illustrator/artist is planetsandmagic
the typesetter is: Hermit-writes

it is more important to read books you actually enjoy reading than books that are Literature
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Idk how many academics I've got on here, but if you were writing a brief chapter on Queer Fantasy, what would you want to include? Fantasy enjoyed welcome to reply here--what are your favorite Queer Fantasy books / themes / etc and why?

Don't self flagellate about promotion. Don't do the "you can read my book if you hate yourself I guess, sorry I suck and need sales" style description. "I wrote this book about X, you can read it here" is much less annoying and easier to share because it doesn't make people feel bad looking at it.

Every day, I do things. And yet, without fail, the following day, I am expected to do additional things. This is some bullshit

Them: So what have y'all been up to?
Me: Haha, you know. The usual.

The Usual:
A wizard ponders five blue crystal orbs labeled WIP
a cool cover will catch my eye more than anything else!
cool cover + cool title + brief synopsis that doesn't include things I don't like are almost a guarantee I'll pick it up

Concerning Situation Parade
the entire past week of me trying to write:
the "cheating boyfriend" meme where the original girlfriend is "My WIPs due soon" and an unimpressed Bucky face (original poster's profile picture), the boyfriend is labeled "my brain" and the girl they're walking past is a clip of the All Ships Ship Week logo and "ALL SHIPS WEEK FICS"

small joys from this week:
- sending gifts out to fandom friends
- acquisition of tiny pumpkins

Whatever you do, please don’t stop reading.

Read for joy. Read for education. Read for resistance. Read banned books. Read books by marginalized authors. Read about experiences that differ from your own.

Just. Keep. Reading.

I've been working on some very cool #covers lately, and I'm always down to make more. If you or someone you know would like to book me (hehe) to illustrate and/or design a cover in 2025, feel free to reach out!

An illustrated book cover for Help Wanted by J. Emery. The cover features a harassed-looking raven sitting upon an open book on a desk. Behind the raven the desktop is strewn with several several sheets of paper, stacks of books, a smoking candle, and stray feathers. The title is included inside speech bubble coming from the raven. A book cover for Awakenings, The Chronicles of Nerezia – 1 by Claudie Arseneault. The cover shows three figures on a sandy road in the middle of a red desert, facing away from the viewer as they look up at a domed city atop a red cliff in the distance. The three figures consist of one person in a tattered cloak, another with curly blond hair and a yellow tunic and armour, and a lizard person in a jumpsuit and goggles. Their vehicle, a cyan wagon with numerous pipes running along it, is in the foreground, partially cropped out of view. The colours are bright and vibrant, with orange and pink as the predominant tones. Cover art for the web novel Tales from Aurea. The title features a sword as the T in Tales and two dragons forming an infinity symbol in the background. Five characters stand ready to fight under a solar eclipse. From left to right: Leif, a man with a battle axe and cocky expression; Jo, a muscular woman with a mischievous grin; Kaja, a small, nervous girl with dragon horns and a tail; Sakrattars, an elf wizard with a spell book and a toad on his head; Amale, an anthropomorphic painted dog holding a bow. A full wraparound book cover for Stories from the Deep, The Chronicles of Nerezia – 4 by Claudie Arseneault. The cover depicts a massive yellow-and-teal kraken locked in battle at sea with someone with water powers. Along the shoreline is a wagon, from which two people are bursting out to view the battle.

Yay it's here!! 🥰 I'm so excited to finally share the dinner of Tessa of Hundrfeld done by the talented @isthiseva.bsky.social

Tessa of Hundrfeld is the first book in my historical fantasy series The Shadow Queen 👑 This cover perfectly captures Tessa as she starts out on her quest for vengeance ⚔️
