I am paying attention to the national Dems who choose to back Mills so I can know who I think has a bad vision for the future of the party.

My parents (progressives in Maine) voted for Gov. Mills and seem to like her pretty well! But they would also like to see the Democrats supporting talent and momentum that can carry the party into the future. They're headed to a Platner townhall soon—I'll be curious to hear what they think.

My parents are progressives who live in Maine, and voted for Mills for governor. They seem to like her and think she is a good governor! It was great that she stood up to Trump!

The problem is that Dems in power are stifling younger progressive voices and momentum rather than building a future.

I do think it's important to take children's rights and consent seriously, especially since our laws and culture tilt toward patriarchal coercion.

We know that many trans kids are not safe at home. Here, SCOTUS sides with patriarchal authority against kids' rights to speech, safety, and education.

You might ask yourself why you are choosing to derail a conversation about protecting the dignity of trans children by defending an abusive parenting philosophy. Why? What are you hoping to prove? To whom? One more reply in this vein and I will just assume you are a bot and block you.

I also have two children, and that is not how parenting goes. That is how abuse goes.
