Hope you get many more bonus hills then. I've stopped bothering about climbing at other people's pace, and go a lot better and further at my own (slower) speed.
Yes, in the Cairngorms, and beautiful austerity is exactly it. Exact locations described in the alt text for the photos.
One of those perfect days. Several times almost moved to tears by the beauty.

I think I just need some hope.
Fergus Ewing was practically up their rear end. Maybe the rest are just running scared, but they're letting control of the country be taken away from the people while they dither about asking nicely for a referendum. We're going backwards rather than forwards.
The SNP have always been in the pocket of the landowners, feart to say boo to them. I still want independence but have to seriously consider giving my vote to any party willing to control the landowners and their minions.
I still think the campfire ban in the @cairngormsnews.bsky.social Cairngorms National Park is right, but it's long past time landowners were held to account too and made to behave responsibly themselves.
Congratulations! - on the bairn, the book and your dedication to the cause.
But most of all for young Mr or Ms Featherstone when they come. A whole new field of guiding for you.

Just published 🙂 I've been wanting to write about the rut for years but never had the piccies to back it up till last autum 🦌. It certainly helps when it's happening right outside your house.
Looks interesting, but not sure I could help. My navigation too often consists of wandering aimlessly, getting lost, then using relocation skills. 😳
This happened last week. Last week! A British MEP pleading guilty to accepting bribes to promote Russian interests. Why has this not been headline news all over the media?
Given that these people can reasonably be seen as Israel's agents in Britain, surely all members should be charged with both treason and assistance to genocide.
Before Labour Friends of Israel removed its webpage, we found 73 of Labour’s 197 MPs were parliamentary supporters or officers of the group

Dozens of MPs have been funded by LFI. But it refuses to disclose its donors.

For how much longer can this go on❓

Who funds Labour Friends of Israel – and why won’t it say?
LFI is one of the largest lobbying forces in British politics, but refuses to disclose its sources of income. What is it hiding?

I'm surprised they didn't, but don't know all the circumstances.
Always interesting to catch up with what Mountaineering Scotland have been up to. Read their annual report here.

🤣I'm thinking of suggesting a second storey. I'm sure the MBA would go for that.
So thrilled and moved to receive this for my birthday. It's a lovely piece of art in its own right, but especially important to me because I've known Corrour Bothy for almost 60 years and been privileged to help look after it for almost 20.

A lot of miles covered and lots of luck with the weather (if not with the midges!) Shame there was nothing exciting at Clach a Chleirich though.
