this actually predates covid, too. and the two times I've gotten covid I didn't even cough that much?? sometimes I just get Eternal Bronchitis and when I see a doctor about it they're invariably like well your lungs sound find, here's some benzonatate

there are many things I love about having a deep disgusting cough forever but my favorite is the one where I go somewhere public and have to explain to everyone around me that I'm not going to give them fucking tuberculosis, I just caught the sniffles three weeks ago and then got asthma about it
