i feel your pain. since losing 120 lbs i dont look like me anymore but everyone compliments me on the weight i did not try to lose.

This is a moral moment. It will certainly be interesting to see how this affects enlistment numbers, not just among people of color and women but white men who aren’t down with this.

Instead of acknowledging that maybe, just maybe you had to work twice as hard to prove yourself worthy in life along the way.

Not at all the same, but it brought back memories of how my young son felt as the only Black kid when the class read To Kill a Mockingbird out loud…
