A tricky part about loving horror movies and cult films is that... they're not always what we expect. I now have a 15-minute rule where I check out early if it's not grabbing me.
Googling “how to unwatch Bring Her Back”
For the record, Max did not bring his old timey radio to our recording session, but it might have been fun if he had!
As a fan of George Lucas & old time radio I love the madcap comedy experiment that is 1994's RADIOLAND MURDERS. Myself & @bryanreesman.bsky.social have done an audio commentary for @kinolorber.com's new Blu-ray release AND we produced a new interview featurette with star Brian Benben. A MUST OWN!
I remember watching the truncated first season of "Entourage" and being amused. Then I realized it was just the male version of "Sex and the City" and stopped watching. They were both shows about seemingly hip but vapid urbanites with questionable values that mythologized their self-involved lives.

I’m glad that Kimmel highlighted the attacks on journalists in his monologue. He laid it out in very straightforward terms, and good on him for using this unique platform to do so.

Also good that he talked specifically about the hundreds of crew who would lose their jobs.

Simple and clear.
My Spinal Tap interview is the lead feature on Grammy.com today! We cover everything from David's beef with Paul McCartney to Nigel's dream for them to play in a space station. And was Sabrina Carpenter inspired by the "Smell The Glove" cover?

It feels like everything "analog" comes back eventually. ;)
I loved the second night of the 10th annual A Murder Of Crows goth and post-punk festival on Saturday night. It was a bit of a mid-'90s flashback as I saw many people I first got to know back then, all of whom are still doing their music.

I mainly buy indie comics. There are a lot of good horror books out there too.
You know what? If everyone spent all their comics dollars on Image and Boom! and Mad Cave and Ahoy books instead of those other two big companies, retailers wouldn’t care. It’s the same money.

Disney and WB wouldn’t care either. Comics are a tiny fraction of their bottom line.

Food for thought.
It's amazing what brainwashing will do. It's also weird how so many poor people believe that most rich people actually care about them. They just dream that someday they'll acquire that wealth and thus buy into the trickle down BS.
The United States is the only place on earth where poor people shun unions, free healthcare, and free education because the rich tell them to.
So true. Or society does not encourage creative or critical thinking much. It's all about making money, and too much of a focus on that leads to lack of empathy, even for one's self. Everyone should have a creative outlet to express themselves, even if the rewards are not monetary.
Geoff Bennett: You say that poetry is not useful, and that's exactly why we need it. Why?

David Duchovny: "We want to get educated to be able to work, to have a job of some kind, which is great and it's necessary. But we've lost sight of educating a mind on how to think or a soul how to feel."
Here's my interview with
georgetakei.bsky.social about his second graphic novel memoir. We cover everything from his "Twilight Zone" episode and "Star Trek" comic book story to how current events echo darker ones from our past.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.
I found my Ozzy interview from Inked in 2010. He gave me twice the time I needed and offered sincere answers. Yet while I understood him during the interview, I slowed my recorder to half speed to transcribe it. 😅 Only Ozzy could get away with that pull quote then.

@twintribes.bsky.social are the Goth band of the moment, and for "Side Jams" we spoke about their love for wrestling and lucha libre, and the connection to their genre and vampires.

I love a good Christmas chiller.
THE OCCUPANT OF THE ROOM, a Christmas ghost story based on the short story by Algernon Blackwood, starring Don McKellar and directed by Kier-La Janisse, is set to hit the festival circuit this fall.

I guess this is where aspiring horror authors say, "I'll have what he's having."
Room 217...where Stephen King had the worst nightmare of his life, which resulted in the idea that became THE SHINING.
Sadly, many people only develop empathy when something bad happens to them. Or they turn out to suffer the way they thought only the "bad people" would. It's twisted.
Dee Snider recalls how wrestler Mick Foley helped him become a more charitable human being. We discuss his journey into charitable giving and philanthropy.

Same here.
I’ll watch Stephen Colbert wherever he lands.
