Quick Review:

BP is pretty, and exploration aspects are actually kinda fun with movement options. However, combat and the one dungeon I tried is extremely boring and tried to be like FFXIV but with much poorer execution.

TL;DR: Just play FFXIV, this only made me want to play FFXIV instead.

You can, but it's slow, and you want to chase before your opponent gets their assist back. Your opponent getting their assist back means they get to neutral skip again and that's worse. But backdash spamming guarantees you waste at least 2-5 seconds needed to recover your assist.
