Good. Like... Everything I have with me is winnings since I paid someone back for a debt (they were kind). I'm hiding this portion of winnings; I know I'd lose it all otherwise.

It takes me a few days to stop thinking of slots. They're extremely addicting for me.

I'm glad I know that gambling is one of my vices. That's why I hid a majority of my money from myself - otherwise, it'd ALL be gone

But heck, winning is almost worse than losing. Those sirens are singing, but I just gotta ignore them until Friday.

The guy responsible for forcing horrible smeary texture filtering on by default in GZDoom has finally crossed a line that the community cannot stand. An unfortunate schism, but hopefully this means things improve faster from here!

The short version: the Gzdoom team has finally had enough of Graf Zhal's shit (including but not limited to pushing AI code into Gzdoom).

The entire team has packed up and made a new fork of Gzdoom.

For sure. And one thing I can appreciate with this machine is that it generally is a slower drain - if you lose (which is very, very likely), it's gonna take a little longer. Having played Yakuza, I think it feels a little closer to Japanese slots lmao

Slot odds are terrible, and with how much they lavish winners with services, the chance of profitability is even worse.

If you do slots, budget! And if you win, stop! Don't be Russ and be down five hundred bucks!

However, it DID also give me insight into how they manage to take money from you even as you win at a casino. You on a roll? Waitresses stop by a LOT more. I had someone offer a massage (which I declined). Inebriated folk are much more inclined to pay more while "winning."

Good! If you have a vocal friend or relative who is willing, you may be able to add them as an authorized contact. That way, they can yell for you when you're having a particularly bad day

FYI, I withdrew money to pay someone back. Bills were too big, so I put it in a slot. Oops, made a bit and STILL had bills that were too big. Did it again.

Later, I was neck deep in tequila sunrises next to old man Russ while playing the furriest slot machine I'd ever seen
