If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.

There may be times when an inexperienced person can do good or great things as a representative of the people. The odds of that are likely somewhere in the ballpark of winning the lottery. Politics is a dirty business, and nativity will get you ate the fuck up.

We have a whole federal executive branch full of inexperienced political representatives who aren't doing shit for the people they're supposed to represent. They don't even have the basic knowledge of how to build a competent staff to fill in the gaps of their inexperience.

They learn all about the people they represent. They learn about the needs of the community. They learn of all the issues and problems that need addressing. When they run for that higher office, they know the community and the community knows them. If they've put in the work, the people don't worry

A good politician or representative learns the wants and needs of the people they represent by being at street level in the community. Sitting on that condo board, school board, or council/commission gives the person time to learn.

You can’t burn your bridges with people who are committed to racism. The bridges never existed in the first place. That’s hard to understand for people who don’t have to navigate at least one situation a week where they or their loved ones are treated as subhuman. But it’s true.

Heartbreaking: Neo-soul legends Angie Stone and D’Angelo both passed away in 2025, just 7 months apart. Stone died in March at 63. D’Angelo died today at 51. They shared a son together. An entire generation’s soundtrack, gone. Rest in power to both 🕊️💔
