There needs to be more coverage of this in the news. I have read so many stories bout this on Facebook, first hand stories of the terror of that storm, and very little coverage n media.

And yet, they couldn't be closer. Walking hand in hand. Arms over shoulders. Loud AF when many in the world want to pretend they couldn't possibly exist, these kids bend light. It's amazing. It's stunning. Beautiful. Hopefulfilling. It's one of the highlights of my week.

About once a week, I pick up my oldest daughter at her mom's school, #Bard Early College Prep, Manhattan. I get there just at dismissal. The sidewalk is crowded with teenagers, each one so incredibly different, you might assume none even speak the same language. Incredibly diverse.

Meanwhile, Republican-held US House districts and states Trump won in 2024 rely more on ACA coverage.
