On this, Reagan was right. Trump will never drop the tariffs, and is attempting kickstart a national sales tax. He's only cutting taxes for his buddies and corporations. Regular non-incorporated people are screwed.

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

Seriously, Dems should make an ad out of that clip. Several ads, really.

Show people really being hurt by his policies and then that clip. Show grocery store prices folks can't pay, or people losing their insurance and then Karoline saying, "The ballroom is really the president's main priority."
