...I have Lights Out on my Kindle from the library and I want to start that asap. I know everyone prefers the audiobook for this one because the narrators are So Good, so hopefully just the text is also quite good. I'm expecting it to be a dark-yet-funny romance like Butcher & Blackbird, I guess

I am about halfway done with my eARC of A Burden in Blood - it's got overly flowery prose in it, but I know it's deliberate since it's supposed to be written in Olden Times (though not in this world, a fictional land with fictional countries, etc.). It's okay, but I'm hoping to finish today...

ACK! The worst offenders are the plant-based ones - fortunately the ones I use are the "safe in moderation" ones, which is how I consume them, maybe 1-2 servings a week on average, but YIKES.
