this sounds like a nightmare for me.

Gameday to start the day and the lead game on SC at night. Two undefeated teams and Heisman frontrunners + the game was great.

But IU vs. Oregon struck out in terms of ratings.

I wrote about why that is and how it explains how CFB fans watch the sport.

Indiana-Oregon's disappointing ratings explains everything about college football's TV landscape
Indiana's upset of Oregon got fewer viewers than three SEC games this past weekend, but that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Kirk was one of the most notoriously sensitive people we cover, which makes it so weird to me that he spreads himself so thin making appearances he doesn't need to, which inevitably leads to criticism about some take he has.

Want to throw less interceptions? Throw the ball less.

There are a lot of sports media people who used to have high-profile network gigs, who are now mostly doing their own show/podcast.

Depending on how recent the change, I sense many are comfortable, enjoy the work more, and from a distance seem happier now.

Happy to see it.

I think the difference between ESPN’s two NFL booths is pretty minimal at this point.

Both are B grade booths (maybe one B+ and the other a B). IMO Aikman has regressed a little of late and the Fowler, Orlovsky, and the Riddick booth has settled into a good groove.

Awful Announcing has a higher than average amount of desktop traffic than most sites.

On most days I look at it and triggers me back to watching a close swing state on election night (tablet being a shitty third party candidate).

Let’s go desktop! We can win this one

Between Penn State losing their third in a row and Indiana winning at Autzen, would give anything to be on a mega booster group text thread right now.

So where are we Cody Campbell right now (1-10)? 1 being total grifter, 10 being altruistic white night.

Have as many tight ends as you want on the field but having Jeremiah Smith AND Carnell Tate on the field on passing third downs is a no brainer.

Looking for a good recent documentary recommendation.

Something actually good and not fluff. So probably nothing on Netflix.

Some scoops in here: Adam O'Neal is telling people he will helm The WaPo's flagship opinion podcast, spending upwards of four hours a day on it. He's also indicated, per a source, that he plans to remain in his current job for decades. www.status.news/p/washington...

Whatever gripes I may have had in the past about TNF, 9:30 AM games or MNF doubleheaders , I’m now fully supportive of all of these things.

The world is often bootyhole and I will take any extra window of football you can give me.

I am retracting my previous tweet after discovering there is a TikTok channel which is just ushers at Ohio State games doing choreographed dances.

The Big 12's last TV deal was a fire drill to ensure they survived vs the Pac 12.

Next TV deal needs to prioritize partnering with 1-2 companies that make them top CFB priority. ESPN has them behind SEC and ACC. FOX, second behind B10.

Can't keep being shuffled to the bottom.

I watched video from a European news outlet that said social media usage peaked in 2022 and has been trending down since.

Gave me a little optimism.

Then the last 30 seconds said "except in North America, where social media is at all-time highs".

Bleh. We're cooked.

There are four (or perhaps more) WR in the NFL whose first name is Xavier.

Every week a prop bet on total Xavier touchdowns should be a thing.
