Ultimately this sort of thing is highly subjective, I just want magic to be weirder. x)

I feel like even rituals and components in fantasy magic systems can be more chaotic - especially if the system has an animist undertone to it. Components can become their own characters, in that case, and not produce the same results for every magician. :O

I get the need to have some consistency in a story, but I also want to be entertained. Fantasy is fun to me when there's ambiguity in how magic works.
I prefer the soft magic systems of Ghibli movies over like...high fantasy worldbuilding with extreme focus on the rules of a *singular* magic system.

The more I learn about occultism, the more I think that strict magic systems in a story are kind of... boring lmao

Occultists love to argue, give them something to argue about.

I have a really funky relationship with my OCs and kind of need some boundaries on that. 😅

With the way things have been going, I'm half-minded about making a discord server for Princeling.
The only thing I'm not keen on is possibly getting fan fiction of my characters in the server - which I'm fine with people doing! I love knowing my work inspires others BUT--
