Major evolution in the GZDoom community tonight - the regular contributors finally had enough of the project lead, who had been very hard to work with for a long time. He dug in and told them "If you don't like it, go and make your own fork."

The person who runs the GZDoom project angrily announced they were killing the project in a thread on DRDTeam in 2007. It’s a damn shame, I thought that source port had some real potential. That’s what you’re talking about, right?

I was able to start a business by selling a modestly popular indie game with the support of the indie dev community, lose a bunch of money doing that, get a corporate job in the gaming industry and then lose my job in the industry from mass layoffs. Twitter made me bitter.
