A cold-emailing AI bot saw a joke post I made in 2023 about promoting my cat and took it seriously.

Email message to me from some AI cold-emailer: "Hey Ben, Checking if my message reached you. I noticed your update about Maddie's promotion- congratulations to her! It's awesome to see your team growing and thriving. Your passion for game music really shines through in everything you share."

I feel like there's no greater indication that our economy is doomed than all these big companies enthusiastically dumping billions of dollars into products that clearly don't work. Like making a functional service doesn't matter as long as shareholders *believe* infinite growth is possible.
