Wow this is ableist AF, thanks for being clear that you don't think everyone has the right to exist in all spaces.

Cheers.
If your protest is permitted by the very institutions you're protesting, it's not a protest.
Thanks for trying C.H.

It's so upsetting when people don't care about protecting folks around them.
Hi! I'm glad you wear your N95 indoors.

Just in case you aren't already aware, viruses are airborne and can and do also spread in the air outside, especially in crowded areas with poor ventilation.
At this point you're either A) willfully ignoring disabled people, B) you have no [out] disabled people in your life or C) the disabled people in your life are too afraid to call you on it.

None of those options are in your favor.
Here's the thing.

You may not be doing this consciously.

But you're still doing it, and we're calling you on it like we've been doing since, I dunno, 2021?
We see your maskless selfies at those "protests."

We see you spreading COVID.

We see you making it unsafe for immunocompromised folks (& everyone else).

We see you supporting fascists who ban masks.

We see you fighting for so-called justice while ignoring disabled people.
It shouldn't take 10 years for a disabled person's income to match one single person's annual salary.

It shouldn't take 10 years for anyone's income to match one single person's annual salary,

But/and, the system is deliberately designed to keep disabled people in rigid, fixed, forced poverty.
It's been seven years since I was awarded permanent disability (SSDI) and it'll only take three more years for me to have received enough in SSDI to match the annual salary of the judge who approved my case.
People who've been oppressed for generations;
who've had our history written [out] by white abled cishet men;
who've been eugenicized, marginalized, ostracized, illegalized, institutionalized, traumatized, proselytized...

We said this was coming.
Maybe listen to us.
They're killing disabled people.

They're disabling people.

They're killing disabled people.

They're killing starving people.

They're starving people.

They're killing starving people.

They're killing.
The thing about fascism, eugenics, genocide (etc) is they will always blame disabled people for not surviving fascism, eugenics & genocide.

Some of you who will be pissed about this NYT thing are still going around using the line, "People dying from COVID had pre-existing conditions."

Healthcare is rationed, and these decisions reflect the differential valuation of sick & disabled people:

All technology is assistive.

It's just not always accessible.
Anything that helps a disabled person navigate life more easily & with fewer barriers is an accessibility aid.

Including dishwashers, shower chairs, safe housing, no strings attached money & doing away with asset limits & benefits cliffs.

Everyone deserves these things, period.

Outrageous. The White House is sidestepping Congress and halting up to $15 billion in NIH research funding, which would have gone to study diabetes, cancer & more.

The order was issued through a four-sentence email sent to NIH directors from Office of Management & Budget Director Russell Vought.

Queer women will be hit especially hard by the incoming Medicaid cuts and restrictions in Trump's tax law.

That includes Sara Habein, a mother of two living in northern Montana, who recently learned that she has cysts in her brain.

Read her story in the latest from me and @chabeli.bsky.social
Over a million queer women rely on Medicaid. What happens if they lose it?
Lesbian and bisexual women are more likely to be low-income, more likely to be parents and more likely to rely on Medicaid. They could fall through the cracks of Trump’s new tax law.

I've never felt more whole, safe, loved & respected.

And I am so much more prepared for recognizing dangerous patterns & red flags in relationships, though I have not gotten through that learning unscathed.

My chosen family & my sister are everything to me.

If this resonates, you're not alone.
Instead, what happened?

I grew into my trans disabled body, became an award-winning advocate & activist, watched as my actions had a measureable impact, realized I had been manipulated my entire life & eventually cut off contact with my abusive mother & thus my whole family (minus my sister).
