With the next generation of Clipper there will be free/discounted transfers between all agencies.
The launch date is coming soon.

Huge savings for transit riders!

My trips on BART would double if there were free transfers within SF between BART and Muni and vice versa.

One city, one fare!

Ridership growth is only part of the solution to BART’s significant financial crisis. To close BART’s $375 million deficit with only fare revenue, current ridership levels would need to more than double.

This afternoon BART crews safety removed this tree and branches from the trackway. We are running single track service through the area and will make repairs overnight.

The tree that fell into the trackway near Fremont Station has been removed and we’re now resuming service through the area. Service will be reduced from two tracks to one for the remainder of the day for Orange Line service. Green Line trains will run from Daly City to South Hayward.

"The BART" instead of BART. Only an outsider would say "I'm going to ride the BART." A local would say, "I'm going to ride BART."

At 10:16am, BART staff will trigger our ShakeAlert early warning earthquake system to ensure it's working correctly.

Trains will automatically slow down to 27mph before coming to a very brief stop. We’ll also make a systemwide public announcement encouraging riders to be prepared for earthquakes.

When will Caltrans start adding time via transit to their freeway signs? ⏳

Take transit.

It’s safer, better for the environment and it will support our ability to fund service and make improvements.

These folks were smart and headed to Walnut Creek BART Station instead of driving.

More riders = more investments into service delivery and innovation.

Before measure funds become available, BART will rely on internal cuts, efficiency measures, and a series of one-time solutions to pay for operations.

The BART Board of Directors supported SB 63 because it will cover a significant portion of BART’s operating deficit and allow us to maintain current service levels and improve the rider experience.
