The other half of how this country runs is on contract law. Why do you get to break treaties and contracts on people, but no one supposed to break treaties and contracts on you?

It's funny bc if you are in possession of stolen items... whether you stole it or not, whether you bought it from someone knowing it was stolen or not, it's a crime.

The United States is in material breach of over five hundred - yes, 500 - legally binding treaties with Indigenous nations.

And lest you say that's because of Trump, we were in breach of at least 350 under both of the last two Democratic administrations.

So yes, we are an illegal occupation.

Conquering and colonization is the way people acquired land at that time in history. It was uncivilized and involved violence and yet that's how land was acquired.

You fought over it and, if you won, it became yours. I acknowledge that's how America came to be. I also acknowledge colonization was a bad thing for indigenous populations.

But I think you're reaching pretty far to try to claim America is an ongoing illegal occupation in present day.

The funny thing about the PIC line incident was that my body wouldn't stop shaking for the rest of the day. My BODY understood something deeply fucked up happened, but it was just "uncomfortable" to me. Was lucky they didn't pierce me and have me bleed out internally.

Two experiences from my time with cancer:

1) PIC line going in my vein, scraping my pericardium "this is uncomfortable".

vs.

2) Antibiotics giving me bone pain in the hip; sitting up all night rocking back and forth sharp inhales with stabbing pain.

Pain is a brain thing DEEPLY individualized.

TBH I think a lot of media companies also get involved to discourage folks from having those people... bc said people ALSO be telling them not to take some bad contracts, or will make sure they're not alone with predatory producers, etc.

Usually I find "it can do ANY story" means "The GM has to actually do the work to pace/aim the play towards the thing and half the time it wanders badly anyway".

Good mechanics get the whole group going in one direction, and, that can be a range to choose from, but it coordinates and aligns people.

Give me a hyper specific design that tells one kind of story every single day. “It’s so flexible of a system!” I don’t care. That is such a boring selling point.

Our society is bad at processing & communicating relationships in general. It's funny bc society will shit on people having casual relationships while half of them are running through serial "serious" relationships or just cheating.

Everything's good with communication & consent or not, if not.

A lot of times people get into those FWB situations bc they don't want to think about it beyond the moment.

And the problem is, at some point, one or both of you gonna have to think about it in terms of ending it, transforming it or whatever.

It's the processing & communicating part.
