First panel of a grayscale comic. Ed and Stede are front and center at a Halloween Party, a large crowd of vaguely costume figures fill the panel behind them. Stede is wearing a tight fitting sweater vest over a patterned button up shirt with khaki trousers. Perched on his face is a pair of horn rim glasses and a mildly bitchy expression aimed to the right at Ed.

Ed is outfitted in a curious mishmash of a costume. Resting on his head like space helmet is a large Venus fly trap-like mask with the mouth agape revealing large rows of teeth and Ed’s sheepish smile. The rest of Ed’s costume is as follows: a mesh crop top with two leaves artfully pinned over his nipples, fishnet stockings, opera gloves where the hands are actually two smaller Venus fly trap puppet heads, and a large cylindrical can of “Maxwell House Coffee” in place of a skirt stuffed with giant leaves and twisty vines that dangle.
