-> They can transform their fish tail to legs and function on land as a person would, and in human form they're indistinguishable from other humans. Save for their eyes which always has a turquoise color.
If their legs get wet they transform back.

-> With a few words they can calm someone down, diffuse a situation or rile people for a cause. Powerful song mages can make one word commands that one has to obey, like Run or Stop (unless one "makes a save" in RP terms). They can communicate simple things to marine life.->

I have SO MANY! Sirens (merfolk) were the second race I created for my world. They're so special to me.💜
They are - unsurprisingly - great singers (no, they don't get ships wrecked) and many of them have song magic. They can influence people with their voice, not just through song.->

I started worldbuilding for roleplay. I had no intention of writing books then, just play in my own little sandbox with my friends. Didn't think anyone outside of my circle would be interested, but when I talked about it, people were like "You should write books". So I did and fell in 💜 again.
