I learned how to read Coptic in grad school. I have a notebook somewhere containing the version of Snow White I wrote in that language.

It's the easiest Egyptian so everyone should start with it, but hieroglyphs are so much sexier.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

But if you CAN go, this 10/18 #NoKings thing is really a key protest to participate in. Be part of it, friends.

Doing my annual search for a wall calendar. I want to support an independent artist. I don't want AI. I don't want what I can get at Barnes & Noble.

Is there some sort of hack for finding that sort of thing? Are you an artist with a calendar? Sound off, please.

I'm not completely mad, because somehow this supported authors, but I'm also very mad because I shouldn't have to jump through this hoop to leave a review at the first place everyone goes for reviews.

My vampires are all the classic aristocratic tropes but also, and this is not explicitly said in the book but you guys seem cool, my vampires are bound by promises, like in a supernatural way.
