Disabled people should be allowed to get married without losing our healthcare. We shouldn’t have to choose between weddings and staying alive. In 2025 we still have no marriage rights or property rights. We never have, and it’s total shit. Fuck Eugenics, we deserve so much better.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
Parliament is the only authority that can strip him of that title. Charles took as much as he could.
I think parliament has to do this.

most people don't want politics that hurt other people. we just want a long overcoat like david bowie and affordable housing
Mamdani. His supporters are only increasing. This IS grass roots in action.
Cuomo is for Trump who’s in his seventies and has never had a job, never managed anything and worst attendance record of any president.

Obama: Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive

Trump: American farming is dead and Argentina is alive
Q: What do you have to say to farmers who feel that the deal is benefitting Argentina more than it is them?

TRUMP: Look, Argentina is fighting for its life, young lady. You don't know anything about it. You understand what that means? They are dying

“What is to stop Trump from making comparably inflated claims about the situations on the ground in other American cities as a pretextual basis for deploying troops? And what’s to stop him from making those claims not tomorrow, but next November—on the eve of the midterms?”

Me, via “One First”:
184. The Massive Stakes of Trump v. Illinois
The Trump administration's 29th emergency application—to let it deploy federalized National Guard troops in Chicago on a profoundly dubious factual predicate—is a make-or-break moment for the Court.

Folks demanding political / ideological purity fail to see that this is no longer a movement belonging to the left / liberals. This is an opposition against fascism. By definition it must be big tent. Failure to grasp this: see divided oppositions in Eastern Europe as your failed examples.
Because he is a white man .
Sounds like Hegseth is doing great 🙄

McCain’s argument is literally the same as “Hitler can’t have been a dictator because he was constitutionally appointed to power” which is both true in a technical sense, utterly irrelevant , and an argument I have seen for real in the wild.
“Grew”🤦🏻‍♀️
Plus evidence of voter fraud done by Musk. He admitted he messed with machines to allow Trump to win. It is statistically impossible for a person to win every single swing state.
And the only way to end it now is to get states to pass laws to go with popular vote. Michigan is the biggest hold out on voting for this even though a majority of people there are in favor of it. Guess who is preventing it from being voted upon?
State Republicans
Because the minority of people who are fine with this shitshow truly believe all their problems are because of immigration/women/education. They were sold a fantasy of its never their fault when it is their fault. They vote Republicans who cut education but it’s DEI at fault.

🧵 Happy Diwali friends! Light is such a mood improver! It can move us in ways that are profound. In ancient Irish tradition a candle was left lit in the window so those who emigrated could find their way home. Light & colour are central to my one-off drawings as you can see in this thread [1]
Gerrymandering and voter suppression. They can only win by cheating.
Totally blocked him too since he thinks that I, as a woman over 40, should have zero rights and as a child of an immigrant, go back to my dad’s birth country.
Dad was born under British rule in India. 🤔
I had an ex coworker start some rant on FB about how things would be so much better is we only used American made products. From a guy who previously touted how awesome his expensive not made in the US espresso was.
The sheer disconnect here is astounding. He’s in his late 30s and definite Trumper.
They don’t care. They really don’t care.
Holy shit. They are using them as disposable organ donors. They are murdering Palestinian people for organs to save Israeli people. This should be blasted on every news channel.
The logic used here is…painful

I would note that this disdain points in one direction. These legacy media outlets have been quick to cover and hype tea party protests, anti-mask/anti-vax protests, and countless other examples of what they call “real Americans” engaging in protest.
For sure some of the legacy media outlets are downplaying the protests because they’re aligned with Trump, but I think an even bigger factor is how many elite journalists have a patrician disdain for the idea that politics can happen in the streets and not just the CNN green room.
