Russia is running GPS-jamming machines in St Petersburg and Kaliningrad, affecting aviation and sometimes shipping around Baltic Sea.

Some of my most appreciated work has been localizing these machines in time, space and volume.

Here's a rundown of previous geo-work, reversed chronological order.

Sweden minister of defence Pål Jonsson attributes Baltic area GNSS/GPS jamming to Russia. I think a first?

In same news, not only ambulances on Öland but also cows get spoofed, both to the sea and to Kaliningrad.

This is only 25km from where an Estonian security service officer was kidnapped in 2014 by the FSB in a raid across the border and jailed in Lefortovo prison

Estonia has closed off a road/border passing through Russia after larger than usual groups of troops have been spotted.

Comment: I am hard pressed to find any insignia on those filmed and SE news claims "little green men".

🔺Russian Baltic Surveillance activity 🧵

An unidentified Russian PVO Air Surveillance unit appears to be specifically reporting the operational departure of Swedish AF Korpen surveillance aircraft 102002 & 102003 from Malmen aerodrome. ⬇️

They speak in clear text on radio and people listen and take notes.

Because a Russian PVO air surveillance unit say so on radio and people listen and take notes.

If I understand the post by @jjdroxford.bsky.social correct, the routine of warning other forces for S102B SigInt is new.
auonsson.bsky.social
Russian air defence is keeping track of when Swedish signals intelligence aircraft S102B Korpen take off from Malmen, Sweden and Russian forces are notified and warned.

Other SIGINT aircraft does not seem to cause this warning to be sent.

Go Sweden!

Map of area in question. An Estonian road runs through Russia for less than a kilometer.

This road saw troop movements dire enough to cause Estonian police/border guard to close the border.

The word ”illegal” is very prominent and frequent in the text.

I think new? The practices used to be described with only non-legal negative words.

”Illegal” implies a right to act and enforce. Maybe!

⚓️ #EagleS case appealed:

The 🇫🇮 Finnish prosecutor is appealing the Helsinki District Court's ruling in early October in which the court ruled it had no jurisdiction over the case.
The case will now proceed to the Helsinki Court of Appeal.

There has been continued sabotage against telecoms infrastructure along roads of southeast Sweden. These are the roads, ports and railways necessary for moving troops to Gotland

Yesterday it was revealed that a fiber optic cable undergoing maintenance has been cut on several spots along highway E22
