Yeah that is one thing, whilst the revenue drop-off from the champions league to Europa and conference is high, you can still get a bunch of coefficient points from them, which helps revenue for the next champions league campaign.
That could change if it starts to help #nufc too much mind...

And for anyone thinking that with the new format, coefficient doesn't matter, as you play 2 from each pot...
It makes a huge impact on prize money (value pillar is calced from coeffient and prior tv revenue).
We could win it and still get lowest prize money out of the English teams

Personally I'm not that fussed.

On second thoughts, tricky might be an overstatement, because I think if they do win the africa playoff next month, based on the likely standard of global playoff entrants from the other regions (bolivia, uae/iraq etc.), they should qualify for the world cup.

Craig mentioned the world cup route, but i dont think he got it quite right.
Congo have a 4 team CAF playoff in November (they're 2nd favourites), but unlike in Europe, their playoff doesn't lead to the world cup, but a second global playoff involving 6 teams and 2 world cup spots.
So quite tricky.
