Sometimes I'm jealous of the ease with which the younger generations engage with new technology, but then I think about the privacy they never had to be messy, awful kids that I took for granted growing up, and I am SO grateful to be the age I am.

Beyond the AI identity theft issues, I can't imagine getting online as a young adult and discovering that thousands of strangers have photos of you as a toddler, or have your middle school dance pictures on their phones. Like. I don't know how you recover trust after that.

Second last day at the old place before moving, and I made good progress! My partner helped me get some boxes of books to the second-hand book store, and pretty much everything that I won't need tomorrow is in a box. I'm SO ready to just DO THIS!

Magic Cooking Wands ~ A request was made by someone participating in a LARP for a 'magic wand' that was holsterable and could double as a spoon (to stir chocolate).

Today was periodically quite stressful, but also an awful lot of people were quite nice to me today, so it kind of balances out. Among other kinds things, the nice salesperson at the bottle shop slipped me two free cans of premix vodka lemonade because their sell by date is tomorrow!

On my way home from the other side of the city, my phone touch screen decided to crash, and shortly after I realised I'd left my house keys at my point of origin. ACK! Thankfully my real estate agent is close to my house and was happy to lend me a spare set, and my phone seems to be fine after reset

I rewatched The Marvels tonight for the first time since seeing it in cinemas, and you know what? I still think it's really really fun, despite the extremely patchy world building and truck sized plot holes. Every time the Marvels are all on screen, I just want to cheer like Kamala.
